FIRE crews have been battling a blaze at a popular bar and restaurant in Erskine this morning.

We previously reported that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to a building fire on Park Drive in the town at around 8am on Wednesday, November 29.

Six fire vehicles were originally sent to the scene and crews were met with a well-established blaze within a commercial premises.

No injuries have been reported following the incident.

Now, pictures from the scene show the devastating damage which has happened to the Grill in the Park restaurant after the fire.

During the incident, one resident said they saw "flames" bursting through the venue's roof.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 8.03am on Wednesday, November 29, to reports of a building fire in Erskine.

"Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances to the town's Park Drive, where firefighters were met by a well-developed fire within a commercial premises.

"There are no reported casualties."
